Antioch, CAI registered my truck in CA today, losing just one more piece of my Idaho self and making an even deeper committment to the lovely state of California. I only have one more piece of Idaho to give up - that will happen when I register my trailer in CA. Then I will be all Californian. Sad Day.

ReplyDeleteHow come they gave you a January tag? Why did you lose nearly five months? Did they pro-rate the fee since you are only getting 7 months?
They gave me a January tag because I was dumb and told them that I moved back to CA in January to start my job. Since I had been operating the vehicle in CA since January they said that I get a January tag.
ReplyDeleteTruth be told - it was after a two hour ordeal and this on a day that I spent the morning throwing up. I don't know if they prorated or not because at that point I was just happy to be over.
(It cost less than I thought it would...but I don't know if it was prorated.)
