Wheelchair basketball

Today was my last day with Adaptive Services and Wheelchair Basketball. In theory, Rec Sports has agreed to take on WCB in fall semester, so I'm thinking that this is probably the last WCB game BYU-Idaho will see.

  2. Sean,

Hey. I was in the ME course whereine we designed the new sports chair. I am currently the Assistant Student Director over RecSports. We are actually picking up WCB. It is not just theoretical. We have it scheduled as an event this semester, then hopefully move up from there!

  3. I don't see it any where on the Rec Sports website. As I've told my friends, I'll believe it when I see it.

  4. Also, I've been told by my sources that Rec Sports is making adaptive pick up the cost of building, storing and maintaining the new chairs. Rec Sports isn't going in 50/50. They aren't considering storage. In other words, if Adaptive can't figure these things out or can't afford them, Rec Sports is going to be able to say that the failure of Wheelchair Basketball isn't their fault.

I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but this is the third time Rec Sports has been supposed to take over WCB. They refused in the end the first two times. I don't have a whole lot of faith in them this time.
