Someone sent me a book in the mail today. I don't have a clue who it was, but it is someone who knows me and loves me. They knew me enough to know that I didn't have Snowmen at Night and that it was my second most favorite children's book.

Yay! I love snowmen at night! (So if that's your second most Favorite, what is your favorite?)
ReplyDeleteGo Dog Go. Yes I know the book is totally sexist, but it's what I grew up with. I LOVE that book.
ReplyDeletethere wasnt an ivnoice in it or anything?
ReplyDeleteNope. The invoice said I was the one who purchased it. Let me assure you - it wasn't me.
ReplyDeleteSexist? *searches her memory for something sexist in Go Dog Go*
ReplyDeletePerhaps its been too long since I read it. All I can really remember is "Do you like my hat? No I do not. Goodbye... Do you like my hat? Now that is a hat. Goodbye."
There are some very clearly stated gender roles and what a woman cares about and what a man cares about all through the book. My Kid lit teacher pointed these out to me, but I still love the book.
