My friend Katie lives in San Diego. I finally got around to googling her address and her condo is in the fire path. I haven't heard from her in several days. I can almost guarantee she's been evacuated. I hope you can join me in praying for her, Drake and their 6 little ones.
Thank you.

Just hopped on a friend's computer and got your email. Thanks for thinking of us! We're currently evacuated from our home due to the Witch Creek Fire in San Diego. There were seven fires in San Diego as of yesterday, but a few of them have merged, so there are fewer, but larger fires now. The Witch Creek is the largest and has run through the town about two miles north of our home. Some areas have been told they can go back home, but ours is not one of them. We're hoping that maybe by tomorrow we'll be able to go home. We've been evacuated since Monday morning. Almost a million people evacuated down here...it's just crazy. Over a billion dollars worth of damage to date and none of the fires are more than ten percent contained.
ReplyDeleteAs of now, our home and our belongings are still there to go home to. We're hoping it will stay that way.
Thanks Sean I have actually been checking Katie's blog to see if she's okay.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for thinking of us! We're home now and no longer threatened by the fires. The house smells and the air quality is very poor, but other than that and the ash, everything is the same.
ReplyDeletePlease continue to keep the people down here who are still threatened, and most importantly, the people battling the fires, in your thoughts and prayers.
